Armadillo-J utilizes the NetSilicon NS7520 processor (CPU core: ARM7TDMI, 55MHz) on a tiny 50 x 37.5 mm board.
Open Source Software
Linux (uCLinux Kernel 2.4.22) is employed as the standard operating system, giving access to rich software resources and proven stability. A GNU development environment is also provided.
PoE Ready LAN Interface
Armadillo-J is equipped with a Power over Ethernet (IEEE802.3af) ready LAN interface (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX). This combined with Linux's TCP/IP protocol stack allows for for easy development of network ready devices.
Serial and Parallel I/O
The serial (UART) and 5bit parallel interfaces allow for the control of off-board devices.
