Modularized For Simple Customization
The Armadillo-500 FX Development Set Model is a combination of the Armadillo-500 FX mainboard, which provides core functionality, an interface board proving touchscreen and control interfaces and a 5.7 inch touchscreen.

Armadillo-500 FX (Armadillo-500 Module + FX Board)
The FX Board (mainboard) hosts a Armadillo-500 CPU module along with often needed interfaces like USB, LAN and miniSD. A SSD provides the required storage. -
Interface Board
The interface board provides the connections required for human interaction including the touchscreen interface and control buttons. Panel computers of various sizes and for various applications can be developed by just producing a customized interface board.
Often used embedded functionality has been divided with considered balance between the boards to provide the maximum flexibility.
New Armadillo-500 CPU Module With High Performance ARM11 Processor
This platform is based on Armadillo-500, a tiny CPU module with a powerful ARM11 processor. The latest version of the 34mm x 54mm module includes the Freescale i.MX31 processer, 128MB DDR SDRAM and 32MB Flash memory. It can be expanded via its 280 pin connector with an inexpensive four layer base board making it a perfect platform for devices with high-mix low-volume production runs.
The high performance ARM11 CPU (Freescale i.MX31) operates at 532MHz and provides a vector floating point coprocessor, a 128KB level two cache, a MPEG4 encoder, video output and an audio interface. With low heat generation, no fan is needed.
Suitable For Various Applications
Armadillo-500 FX can be used as a base for embedded devices with various types and sizes of displays.

Development Set For Fast Customization
The development set includes the basics required for development, with the Armadillo-500 FX LCD model, cables, AC adapter and development CD. The development CD includes the FX board and Interface board schematics.
