High Performance / Low Power Consumption NS9750 Processor
The high performance Digi International NS9750 processor (ARM926EJ-S core) provides a 200MHz clock, 8kB/4kB cache, MMU support, DSP instruction enhancement, a Java accelerator, along with PCI, Ethernet, USB, LCD and serial interfaces all on one chip. With low heat generation, no fan is needed.
IEEE802.11a/b/g WLAN and Ethernet
Both a IEEE802.11a/b/g ready Silex Technology WLAN module and a 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX on-board Ethernet interface are included. Combined with the Linux TCP/IP protocol stack, these allow for easy development of network ready appliances.
Fast Linux Application Development
Linux (2.6 base) is supplied as the standard operating system, offering access to rich software resources and proven stability. Device drivers and all related source code are provided together with a GNU software based development environment.
Security / IPv6 Support
The high performance ARM9 processor allows for world standard SSL and IPsec encryption, as well as support for the next generation network protocol, IPv6.
USB, CompactFlash and LCD(VGA) Interfaces
The USB 2.0 (Full Speed) host interface and CompactFlash slot can be utilized for expansion as required by final user applications, while the LCD(VGA) interface can be used to develop GUI based control devices and media terminals.
Note: The VGA interface is standard on the case model.
Development Environment
The software development environment provided with Armadillo-300 consists of three tools: ATDE, the GNU cross development tools and Atmark Dist.
