The Armadillo-210 has a tiny, half business card sized form factor. This, together with PoE (Power over Ethernet) support provides for incredible flexibility.
Security / IPv6 Support
The high performance ARM9 processor allows for world standard SSL and IPsec encryption, as well as support for the next generation network protocol, IPv6.
Multiple Operating System Support
Armadillo-210 are shipped with Linux (kernel 2.6) as their standard operating system. As WindowsCE, NetBSD and ITRON can also be run, it is possible to choose the most suitable operating system for the target application.
Note: The four operating systems can be obtained from either our partner companies or their respective open source communities.
Software Compatibility with Armadillo-9
| As Armadillo-210 and Armadillo-9 are software compatible, it is possible to carry out the same development on either model. This opens up options like utilizing software developed for Armadillo-9 on Armadillo-210, or using the greater functionality of Armadillo-9 for development of Armadillo-210 based products. |
Serial / LAN Data Conversion
Armadillo-210 are shipped with serial / LAN data conversion functionality. This can be utilized for remote device control via the Internet or LAN, or serial cable extension.
Development Environment
The software development environment provided with Armadillo-220 consists of three tools: ATDE, the GNU cross development tools and Atmark Dist.
