Atmark Techno begins sale of the WLAN ready Armadillo-300 Case Model

Atmark Techno Inc. (Head Office: Sapporo Japan, President: Tomohiro Saneyoshi) will begin sale of the Armadillo-300 Case Model (product number: WA3000-C00), a WLAN ready small form-factor Linux board, from the 15th of March, 2007.
With both the WLAN module and necessary device drivers included as standard, the Armadillo-300 provides a stable platform for the development of WLAN ready devices. The Armadillo-300 also features a host of other interfaces such as Ethernet LAN, USB2.0 host, CompactFlash, and LCD output which give the required flexibility to connect to a wide range of existing devices in order to add wireless communication.
With the small and lightweight aluminum case provided with the Armadillo-300 Case Model, it is now even easier to make use of the Armadillo-300 in not just monitoring and control devices, but also in products targeted towards use in the home and office. The case model also adds VGA output as standard, making it possible to display a graphical interface by simply attaching a monitor with a VGA connector.
The Armadillo-300 Case Model will be offered at a sample price of 59,500 JPY and will be available from distributors from the 15th of March, 2007. Armadillo-300 will be on display at Atmark Techno's booth in the Board Computer Exhibition of TECHNO FRONTIER 2007 at Makuhari Messe.
Armadillo-300 is based on the Digi International NetSilicon NS9750 (ARM926EJ-S, 200MHz) network processor and the IEEE802.11abg compliant Silex Technology SX-10WAG WLAN module, with Atmark Techno undertaking the overall board development and Linux porting.
